Patch Notes 3.3.0

SpikeHub now speaks console: matches, rank and leaderboard for PlayStation and Xbox. Plus mentions, chat GIFs and favorite skin shop alerts.

Hey, Raphael here! Since day one, SpikeHub has been a PC app: if you play Valorant on PlayStation or Xbox, opening your profile showed you nothing. Version 3.3.0 fixes that for good, and it also brings mentions in posts and chats, GIFs, favorite skin alerts and a handful of other improvements. Here’s what changed.

What’s new

Console support

SpikeHub now understands PlayStation and Xbox accounts:

  • Matches, current rank, peak rank and career for console queues (console competitive has its own pool, separate from PC).
  • Console competitive leaderboard, with the same regions and seasons as PC.
  • Switch platform wherever it makes sense: on your Valorant profile (icon at the top of the screen), in settings, on the leaderboard or in match history.
  • If your account only has console matches, the app detects it and opens on the right platform by itself.
  • It works on other players’ profiles too: if you’re on PC and open the profile of someone who plays on PlayStation, their rank and matches load correctly. The app figures out that player’s platform instead of using yours.
  • Your community profile card now shows a console badge, so people know where to find you.

Mentions with @

Type @ in posts, comments, room chat and friend chat to tag someone. Whoever gets tagged receives a notification (and yes, you can turn that off in settings).

GIFs in chat

A GIF button in friend chats and rooms, with built-in GIPHY search. Some things only a GIF can say.

Favorite skin shop alert (PRO)

When a skin you favorited shows up in your daily shop, SpikeHub sends you a notification, even with the app closed. Exclusive to PRO subscribers.

Quiz: try again

You can now retry the daily quiz once a day by watching an ad. If your second run is better, you earn the difference in coins. PRO subscribers retry ad-free.

Fine-grained notification controls

A new settings screen to toggle each notification type separately: likes, comments, mentions, follows, chat, skin shop and quiz. Busy rooms can now be muted individually, without leaving them.

Improvements

  • Interstitial ads removed from the app. Only rewarded ads remain, the ones you choose to watch in exchange for something.
  • Redesigned navigation bar, sitting at the right height on any iPhone and on Androids with system buttons.
  • Switching between Live, Profile and Wiki tabs no longer refires unnecessary requests: the quiz and battlepass are now cached.
  • When there’s no rank data on the selected platform, you’ll see the Unranked card instead of an error screen.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed the rare case of PRO subscribers seeing an ad right at app launch, before the subscription was confirmed.
  • The GIF button that had gone missing from room chat is back where it belongs.
  • The notification bell’s tap area in the feed was too small. It’s bigger now, with a haptic tick on tap.
  • Top spacing tweaks on the notifications, settings and about screens.

That’s it. Update the app, switch your platform if you’re a console player (this one’s for you) and tell me what you think. See you next time!
